The Haynes manuals are usually good basic guides for repairs. But in issue #92075, "Toyota Pickups and 4Runners" 1979-95, on pg. 1-16 is this chassis lubrication chart: Haynes 1-16, 14.3
First, that's NOT correct for a 2WD model. The 2WD trucks don't have "double-Cardan joints". Second, my '88 2WD with automatic has a 2-part driveshaft with no grease fittings that I can find. Finally, the torque tubes for front suspension DO have grease fittings, which aren't shown in the diagram.
So -- don't waste your time and energy hunting for fittings that aren't there (like I did).
What are you referring to as torque tubes?
And I'd say that diagram is either mislabeled or just something generic they put in there and isnt an actual 2wd pickup, especially because it looks to have a transfer case, t/c shifter and front driveshaft.

Thanks -- by torque tubes I was referring to the torsion bar front suspension. On each side, at the back end of the housing, is a mounting with a grease fitting. IDK the proper name for them. Should look in the parts book and find out.
