Got some work done on the runner

Went out this morning and she fired on the first try, looks like that ground cable was the problem. Yeah for me.

I cleaned it up down at the car wash and brought it home for some TLC. I got the t-case shifter turned back around where it's supposed to be so that will stop driving me nuts. I also found out that you can roll down the back window with the key by turning it in the lock on the tailgate, thank you for not laughing.

I did find out that I need a new rear window switch since I accidently smacked mine with a hammer and now it doesn't work. I also need some arm rests, a couple of head rests, it needs brakes, a drivers side seat, a steering wheel and a good cleaning. Other than that I'll be driving it to work next week and fixing things as I find them. Oh and I taped up all the crappy wires and tucked them back under the dash and will be gutting that next weekend. I want to drive it for a while to make sure everything else is working well before I tear into it.

pic.

Once all the little things are done I'll start buying upgrades for the drive train.

Ricky, you can have the stock steering wheel from my 4runner if you want it.

Looks good! How are you liking it so far?

I think the rear window roll down thing is pretty sweet too. The first time I did it around my friends they were like "WTF?" not only because the you can use the key, but also because it went into the tailgate...

I really like this thing. If I can get a little farther along in the guild it may end up replacing my pickup.

What's wrong with the current steering wheel? I never knew about the rear window roll down with key function, my buddy just got a 95 and I'm sure he doesn't know about it either, gotta show him!!

I think the PO had an issue with the horn when he installed the alarm because the horn parts have been torn out via a huge cut in the steering wheel pad. You can fold the dang pad down and almost pull it off the frame work of the steering wheel. Besides not having a horn the rip drives me nuts.

... I don't understand how people can do things like that to their cars and not care. It would drive me nuts too...
