Got my straight axle today

Went shopping this weekend. The last wrecking yard i checked had a 85 with the axle still on It was to late in the day to grab it, so i went first thing this morning.
The yard had a 50% off all parts sale. Paid 65$ + 2$ entrance fee, woot 67 bucks for my axle. The guys there were way cool, i guess i got there just in time because they are crushing that truck later this week.

Awesome deal!! Congrats, '85 is the #1 for an SAS.
I was at a Portland U-Pull it at one of their half off sales and got front/rear seats $50 for my Trekker, A set of spare driveshafts for $32. Every now and than you get lucky.

I want to find an IFS rear axle, they never seem to have them..

Nice find and have fun cleaning it up. It took me a while to clean mine, but it was worth the time I put into it.

I have a pressure washer, just need to let the hose thaw out. It snowed a few inches here today so that job is on hold. The truck i pulled it from had a serious oil leak, oil was everywhere, hence the messy axle.

Lucky you, they want $300us for a 91 Hilux SFA down here (and that's everything though, suspension, steering, diff, drive shaft).
