Actually bobcast did not use to be hard... The two previous times I was up there I did not have a single problem getting getting through the whole trail but today it just was not going to happen. The hill seems to have gotten dug out pretty badly. An IFS rig would be very lucky to get up there without a locker.

As you can see the mud where I get stock in.. that was also dug out. Wasn't that bad the last time I was there.

 

I guess I picked a hell of a time to go!

Yeh....notta problem....next time i will stack up on rocks for extra traction.

I was up there about a month ago and it was ok. I struggled a little, but not too badly.

 

Why don't you ever warn anyone when you are coming down this way.

Looks like it's a bit harder then what you say Phillip. I can see a couple ways to go around things but there looks to be some things that would give some challenges to someone with stock suspension. ;-)

 

Stock suspension can make it...with only one locker. I mostly barreled my way over rocks and stuff but all in all it wasn't too hard. Although I did make it farther up that hill than philip did...

 

Me, being a novice wheeler, doesn't need to be doing things that are really hard just yet. I need some practice on some things that are challenging but still doable w/out just slamming over things. I want to have fun, but I'm not one to thrash my ride. She is my DD afterall.

 

Mine is too Chris...they hold up better than what ya think. If you get stuck....as Philip did today...then A simple pull out was no problem. You just gotta be able to gauge the obstacle before ya hit it. I walked up a few of them and looked it over before I plotted where my tires would go...but sometimes ya just gotta know when to call it quits if you know you are gonna break anything serious. Thats what I did today. All in all...we had fun. Your truck is capable of more than what you give it credit for.

 

What gearing are you running?

Also, are those 10.5's or 11.5's?

They look really great.

 

Just got the stock 4:10's...too poor to regear.

They are 11.50's...I had the 10.50's before and I thought they were too small.

 

Rub it in a little why don't you.

I guess I know that I can't afford right now to fix anything, so I'm more cautious. I know its very capable of doing a lot of things.

 

You are not going to break as much as you are anticipating... just know your limits on the trail and play it cautious.
If I will not do it then I surely will not suggest for you to try it.
