Good front bumper for 90 4Runner

I am looking for a front bumper for my 90 4Runner, and wondering what would be the best. I want to put 2 more lights on it, prob the same as the ones on my roof rack. I don't want to spen a whole lot, since I am looking at either getting a sus lift, or selling this and getting a 93 T100.

Been doing a lot of research about this myself. The big question is - tube or plate?

My favorite so far is Sean@TLT's. Unfortunately, it a custom Hanson Enterprise (www.hansonenterprise.com) - they don't regularly produce anything for Toyota's (yet) however they are interested in feeling out the market because they want to get into it. Send them an email and tell them what you're looking for!

Custom.

Custom is custom and carries a price tag.

I liked my ARB. It was off the shelf, had compromises and didn't fit perfect.

Big companies are making as cheap an off the shelf as is possible.

Small shops HATE making something for a rig they cannot fit it to because most customers piss and moan about fitment.

Around here, expect to pay between 800 and 1200 for a bumper as above with winch mount, etc. That is made on the rig one of a kind.

I personallty think the downey bumpers look gay, but that's just me. What I really like is the tube bumpers simular to this: http://www.allprooffroad.com/images/...e_ramp01_l.jpg
the only reason I don't get the tube bumper I like is because if I ever decide to sell my 4Runner I think it would be more desirable with an ARB type bumper. my wife has said "just get what you want, you're normally the last person to drive your trucks anyway" lol. She says that because I wreck every truck I have had lol. i got a couiple months to decide, we'll see how it turns out.

What kind of 'wheeling do you do? Tube bumpers are best for approach angle, not so great for protection. ARB/TJM is great for protection, but kill your approach angle and weigh a ton.

Personally, I think tube bumpers look out of place on the street - I hate being able to see all that crap behind there, even when it's painted black.

Of course, not being able to find what I want, I'll end up designing my own and having it fabbed...
