Good Canada located part source?
Greetings all!
Long time skulker, first time poster here...
I have tried to read all the posts on the topic of coil springs and shocks... but I am growing rather cross-eyed... at this time I only wish to get rid of the sag and replace the shocks and steering damper. I don't have any immediate plans for serious off-highway use [yet] so I am not looking to get involved in a lift. I do have 31" inch tires which have no clearance issues.
Does anyone know of a reasonably priced source for these parts in Canada? I have been calling local parts stores (napa, canadian tire) but I am not happy with the prices I have been quoted... for example 105$ CND for a monro steering damper and 160$ for a set of generic springs (non-progressive). I don't have any problem with spending money; just don't want to spend lots on sub-standard parts. Should I be ordering from the States?
Thanks for reading... and for any assistance offered!!
Cheers!

Generally I've found much beter deals across the border. I get my stuff shipped to a US address and drive across to get the package, to save being gouged by UPS or FedEx. If you live close to the border that's the way to go.

Ask for Lee at Obsessive Off road Center.

Tell him Michael Sent you
I replace all my shocks back when I was on 31 Tires with SkyJacker. Front Rear and Steering stabilizer. Nice thing about the Skyjackers is they are Lifetime warranty and will work with a 0" to 3" Lift.
Still running the Front Shocks and the Steering stabilizer (Been beating on them for 5 years now)
The Skyjackers have great on road manners

Order from US but try and get them to ship USPS. If you use a carrier (ie fed ex, UPS ) you get dinged with a massive brokerage fee proportional to the dollar amount, not size. UPS SUCKS!!!!!!

Michael, couldn't make heads or tails of the web site order form... [server prob on my end I expect] I did send an email to whom you suggested. Appreciate the info.

I picked up my Old Man Emu shocks and springs for the back end of my 1991 4Runner from National4WD. It came in to under $500 (at the time, the Cdn $ wasn't quite as strong as it is now).
I haven't picked anything up from North Shore Off Road yet ( http://www.nsor.com/ ) but the prices they've quoted me on things have been pretty reasonable.
