glowing cat

i put new exhuast on 90 pickup now cat is glowing its not clogged i can see the sky right thru the cat any answers

unburned fuel causes the converter to glow red. since you just did the exhaust, check into your o2sensor and make 100% sure it's still hooked up.

that's as close to a glowing mutant cat as I can get. And everyone here knows I have a thing for big eyes.

I wouldn't be driving a vehicle in which the cat is glowing. Your gonna warp the head or the block or worse.

When was the last time plugs, wires, cap, rotor were changed? As others have mentioned the most likely cause is unburned fuel. You don't really want to keep driving it till you figure it out or you stand a high chance of melting the internals of the convertor, resulting in a clogged convertor.
