A couple more....
The last one that say's 40" is the stock susp. at full droop with the truck on jack stands at the frame at the wheels on the ground.
The second one is what the truck sits at now on the ground! 37" and a just c-hair more.
Sweet!

Cheers, Lee

Hey you live in Cloverdale eh? I live in Poco, but got a buddy who lives in Cloverdale with an '03 Taco.

Nice lift!

My truck is the "truck" version of your 4runner - same colour, year, etc.

W/ the proper tools & any mechanical knowledge it should be able to be done in 2 days - 1 person. I got about 4 1/2" out of it & my CV's are pretty much parallel w/ the ground(straight). The only cutting in the front was the front front diff mount & if I would have seen that I needed to cut it before I mounted the SL crossmember, I could have just bent it out of the way. Just my opinion - take it for what it's worth! Another option to consider before you pull the trigger if nothing else.

Your spending a ton of cash for not that much lift. Remember even with a 2" BJ lift your tire still compresses to the same spot pre lift. So in a full compression situation if it would rub right now compressed, it will rub with the spacers.

It boils down to what do you want to do with it, and what size tires do you want to run?

Personally I havent been sold on the whole BJ spacer thing yet. It seems like a bandaid for a real lift. I am not knocking it, looks like a well engineered working kit, but doesnt give you much more than stock, IMO.

OME is great stuff, but its engineered for a similar to stock stance, which if thats what you want great..but if you want a bit more lift than that go with a bracket lift, like the superlift mentioned. My personal favortie is the Pro Comp Stage II.

Good luck and keep the pics coming... (if you use a free web host, like photobucket, you can post the larger pics you see in some of the threads)

Talking Mearsurements

So here's what we got...
Sit's at 37.25'' Drivers Side
37.15 Pass. Side

OME 901 H.D. Coils and N98 Nitrochargers.

Stock Coils and Shocks:

Just BELOW 33'' from ground to top of wheel well (

Because of the pan hard bar being off-kilter now, the axle now sits just about an inch over the driverside wheel well and visaversa on the Pass. side. I'm not too worried about the set-up right now. I just got back from a little wheelin to stretch her out a bit. Alls was Cool.... And about takeing the panhard off for coil installation? Well I decided not to. I just compressed the coils a lil bit with some
high-tensil rope and popped em in. After that, not even 45 mins. and I was done! I tell ya, WAY easier than I thought it would be.
Let me know what you guys think so far!!
Cheers, Lee Hathaway

question

do I need to get the sonoran steel parts with the 2nd gen list kit package 2?
I have been advised to get the panhard bar, bracket...necessary?

also, do I need the truss from strapp22?

or...can I be good to go with just option 2?

thanks

Lee it looks great. I would say it is anything but stock looking. I know you will be very happy with your setup and unless you are planning a SAS I would not spend more than this for a good solid setup that has been tried and tested. As far as the BJ Spacers I have heard some peoples opinion of them but I am 100% sold on them. The 1.5 inch you gain with them is in fact giving you more clearance. They also allow you to relax the T-bars a little so your ride is not too stiff. With the diff drop you can get away with ADD but I still think in the long run for $150.00 or so for a set of Warn Premium hubs it will be money well spent. IMHO

ps. Keep the pictures coming.

Holy Crap!!! I just went for a little wheelin and I found a 2.5' Riser for a jump.... And wow.... The back end touched down soooo smoothly. The front, well, not so much. But, I tell ya, These H.D. coils with the new shocks, They are a godsend. Damn, I wanna finish the front right now!!!!
Jeez I cant wait

The front will never be real smooth with this setup. There just isn't enough travel in the suspension to take it. Disconnect your sway bars and you you will get a little more travel but it really isn't designed to jump with. IMHO

I'm also curious about this. How do the added parts to the option 2 lift benefit you?

First of all they benifit you by offering a complete setup. I have run without the additional parts and if I would have known from the beginning I could have saved my self alot of headaches not to mention additional alignments and down time and money I didnt need to spend twice while it was being worked on again. The option 2 kit will get you up and the additional parts will complete your project. Feel free to do what you want but saving a few bucks now will cost you more in the long run. If you need more specific information feel free to give me a call (972) 880-5616

Thanks for the input Phil. I hope I didn't give you the wrong impression when I asked my question. I think it's a great setup, but I was just curious about how the added parts helped.

Not a problem. It is better to ask questions up front so you know what you are getting into. Let me know if I can help in any way.

Hmm, Can I install now? or should I wait?

Hey Guys, Just got a quick question for y'all. As you may or may not know, I've recently purchased an OME susp. setup from TRDParts4u. Great kit, but Iam still waiting for the SDORI Ball joint spacers to come in from snail mail. Now here comes the kicker..... Iwanted to do the front all at once with b.j. spacers, OME N72F front shocks and do all the bearings and c.v. boots. Now my frikkin C.V. boot has just torn and Iam stuck on what to do. I NEED the truck FOR THIS WEEKEND!!! Iam going to sales meetings (aka and golf) in Vernon and I NEEEEEED this fixed. Now the thing is I can do this no prob (c.v. boots)but can I throw in the shocks now? or will they be too long? I guess they will compress to the point it'll be ok, but I thought I'd check first.
Strap22, maybe you can chime in? Any advise? Damn, why can't the little things just go away? Quick replies will be generously thanked for!!!
Cheers, Lee Hathaway
