Everything is a tradeoff. Offroad prowess comes at the expense of pavement manners and fuel economy.
I don't care that someone recorded an anomalous economy number. I likewise didn't call them a liar because I wasn't there and I don't think you were either. Is it repeatable? I don't know. Was it accurate? I don't know. Should everyone else expect similar results? No, but it didn't warrant your belligerence, either.
That explains quite a bit.

I might get a little carried away every now and again (and I do), but I would never purposely mislead anybody on here.
I do agree, it sounds like he's got the right gearing, and no need to change anything.
