Gearing

So after doing some searching, I can't for the life of me find the thread I once found on gearing. I have 33's and am looking to regear to maintain the stock powerband. What gears would I need, and where would I get them from? Any suggestions on installation would be nice as well. Thanks.

check out/google east coast gear supply, give them a call.

I'd guess you want 4.88. Install suggestion is to buy complete, new-built thirds and install yourself. Finding a local gear set up mechanic can be difficult. In my experiance, folks like to say they can set up gears but few can do it right.

With 33's most people run 4.56 or 4.88 gears. I run 4.88 in my Toyota and it does great.

I have 33's and 4:88's. Great combination. It will be just a little lower than factory.
