i rebuilt the engine in my toyota and got it in and all the lines hooked up but the fuel pump won't get any gas. the line has gas in it but the fuel pump wont get gas through. its a new pump.

i was just wondering if you guys had any ideas on what it might be. thanks a bunch.

Will the fuel filter go in backwards on these things??

I know an old VW I had did that to me once,
I didn't know they were one way flow and just threw it in line
I sure was proud of that first tune up... other than it wouldn't run, till I asked for help

sorry, i should have stated it earlier. it a mechanical fuel pump on a 1986 22r. i dont know if the filter can go in backwards but i will give that a look. gas goes through the line, unless its going up the return line.
