Hey y'all! I'm trying to figure out some issues my 87 4X4 truck is having and need to start with changing my gear oil. I've had the truck for two years and know I haven't done it, so I have no clue when it was last done. When I got under there it looks like it's definitely leaking fluid. I noticed that there are two holes with threads that don't have bolts in them. The threads look super clean and shiny inside despite the holes being super dirty on the outside. I just wanted to check to see if maybe these are for mounting on a different model? Or if I'm missing important bolts and that's why my truck is leaking oil and having so much trouble in 1st and 2nd gear?
I've looked everywhere for a diagram or a related post but haven't been able to find anything. I'll throw some pics up so you can see what I'm talking about.
Purple is the mystery hole without a bolt. Blue is my drain plug. (I'd already circled it to send to a buddy to ask him) Another of the hole with no bolt. The other side that has the same hole without the bolt.
