Fusible Link Wire

Is the wire that goes from the positive battery terminal to the 80 AMP fuse in the box "fusible link" wire or ordinary wire?

I had to cut mine years ago to replace the terminal. I crimped a new end on, but it's annoyingly short. I'd like to replace the wire, but I'm not sure what to use.

fusible link specific, should only be about 2 inches long and something like 10 or 12g wire. run a thicker wire to it , 10g or 8g

depending what year you have the fusible links are in the fuse block by the battery .

Your lead off the battery could just be 8 gauge wire.

It's a 1986 22R. The wire is long enough (barely now) to reach from the box to a post on top of the battery terminal.

If Toyota hadn't confused matters by calling the fuse a fusible link, this would be a lot easier to figure out.
