I put a fuel gauge sender from a 1992 pickup into my 1987 pickup yesterday

got mine at the junk yard for $14.

Some people try to sell these fuel senders on ebay for $100 or $150 sometimes, there is a ebay seller selling these senders new oem from toyota dealership for $90.

there's two senders sr5 and non sr5, the sr5 has one more wire on the plug, and it has a low fuel light.

if you have a non-sr5(no low fuel light) this will work for you http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Toyot...item5645e658e4
or http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1987-...item2313e569ca

if you have an sr5 with low fuel light,

or

the problem is my truck use a digital dash, the sender is 3 wires without low sender switch,it use a 5v,gnd and signal just like a T.P.S. for example.one side of the coil is 5v the opposite side is ground and the wiper is where sensor return is attached.i try using an sender from an analog one welding the return wire to the wiper and work for a short time,
