Fuel pump pressure question.

Hey Guys,

I have a question.

The 22re fuel pump runs @ a regulated pressure of 37#'s, does anyone think I'll have a problem, pump wise, running it @ 52#,s ?

Thanks, Kiwi

I'm not sure what he just said, but increasing your fuel pressure to 52 lbs is in range for the injectors, but it's going to make you pig rich... What happens to fuel pump amp draw at 52 lbs, I'm not sure...

Hey Guys,

I apoligize for not giving enough information.

I'm swapping from a 22re to a GM 3800 II, in My 90' 4x4 Toy p.u., and would like to keep the Toy pump.

The 3800 requires about 52#'s of fuel pressure, there lies the reason for My question.

Thanks, Kiwi

Ahh, that makes more sense... I'll bet that pump can do 52# of pressure at the price of increased amp draw. I'd certainly try it.
If it won't work, go to a Walbro 190LPH in tank pump for about $100...
