fuel problems

ok so as stated in another post on alternator issues I have discovered that my COR (circuit opening relay) is apparently going out. I had no fuel pressure whatsoever, pulled the fuel lines and nothing was pumping. Pulled the pump outta the gas tank, cleaned it up, checked it out, it is in working condition without clogs or dirt/etc.

I then hooked my fuel lines back up, jumped the Fp and the B+ in the diag to circumvent the COR, heard the pump kick on when the key was turned on but now I am getting a major leak on the OUTLET side of my fuel filter. I know fuel is getting as far through as the filter because it is not on the INLET side. So the fuel is not traveling from the OUTLET side of the filter into the fuel rail itself. It is actually over pressurizing and seeping out as a very fine mist where the filters banjo bolt is screwed in.

I did have this engine (1987 4Runner 22RE 5-spd) torn down to the block to replace the timing chain and camshaft. I also replaced the O-Rings on the tips of my injectors and the fuel rail, lower and upper manifold all went back together without major concerns or problems.

What am I looking for now guys? Thanks

so the truck still wont start with the pump jumpered? im pretty sure when you do that it just keeps constant power to the pump...so yeah itll over pressurize

get new copper gaskets (washers?) for the banjo fitting and make sure the fuel pressure regulator is able to bypass fuel, and the return line to the tank is not clogged.

'Preciate it guys. I got it all cleared up. Just removed the pressure regulator, beat it up a little bit, put it back on and no issues at all. Weird little guy. Thanks.
