Fuel position sensor
So I thought I had an fps problem, erratic idle and high idle.So I bought a new tps and took off the throttle body to make the installation of the new tps easier. You know, with all the ohm readings and all that come with the installation of a new tps.So after removing throttle body then tps and installling new one then going through the ohm reading olympics and not knowing what the f@% k Im doing,I finally managed to at least match one set of numbers I decided to reinstall the throttle body because I had to get to work the next day.Well after getting the throttle body reinstalled, when I tried to plug the electrical plug on to the new throttle position sensor the plug would not connect. In other words I could not push the male to female connections enough to make them click. No matter how hard I pushed or wiggled I couldnt make the connection.I know this sounds like a twisted version of christian mingle dot com but its really happening to me,and Im not even a christian,as alienating as thats may be.Is it OK to shave and fit the aftermarket tps to fit then duct tape and zip tie the connection? And is it ok to not be a Christian and get subliminal messages from christian mingle dot com?

Just what year are you working on?? Engine ??
Some of us have learned it pays to stick with Toyota Parts for sensors and some other things.
Just why won`t it fit are there some casting marks on the sensor plugs?
Just a very poor quality plug on the sensor dimensions plus or minus 2mm
Well what kind of readings was the old TPS giving you ??
You did verify that it had failed.
Knowing that I forgot to plug mine back in and drove with it unplugged for a few days idle was not effected at all.
