Fuel lines + pump
Well for the last few weeks i have been getting small hints of a gas smell when i would hop out of the truck but couldnt ever find a leak well i was giving my truck a really good wash the other day and i reached up under the frame on top of the gas tank and pulled a bunch of mud and dirt off the top well that was a bad idea beacuse the the compacked dirt was holding my fuel in the line! well to finish the story my lines were rusted through so i pulled the bed it seemed easier at the time and the whole fuel pump is rusted and so are my lines half way up to my motor love buying trucks from up north! does anyone know a cheap fix. i just talked to a guy with a new tank and fuel pump for 100$ where should i get new fuel lines? what kind should i run i need help please!

Band Aid fix would be to cut out the rusted sections and replace with rubber line, if possible. Otherwise get new lines from a dealer or used from a junk yard.
Edit: oh and if you are going to cut the lines dont use a grinder

i guess from what he says i havnt actually seen it its a fuel pump already installed in a tank i dont remember what the reason was but he didnt use it for long or something i called toyota and asked they sell exact fuel lines they want $41 for the main fuel line and 37$ for the return line so its going to be a 200$ fix whick looks good to me its 170$ for a fuel pump at auto zone from what im told...
