Fuel lines + pump

Well for the last few weeks i have been getting small hints of a gas smell when i would hop out of the truck but couldnt ever find a leak well i was giving my truck a really good wash the other day and i reached up under the frame on top of the gas tank and pulled a bunch of mud and dirt off the top well that was a bad idea beacuse the the compacked dirt was holding my fuel in the line! well to finish the story my lines were rusted through so i pulled the bed it seemed easier at the time and the whole fuel pump is rusted and so are my lines half way up to my motor love buying trucks from up north! does anyone know a cheap fix. i just talked to a guy with a new tank and fuel pump for 100$ where should i get new fuel lines? what kind should i run i need help please!

Band Aid fix would be to cut out the rusted sections and replace with rubber line, if possible. Otherwise get new lines from a dealer or used from a junk yard.

Edit: oh and if you are going to cut the lines dont use a grinder

I bought a brand new OEM fuel hardline that goes from the tank area to the fuel filter for $30 at my local dealership, but I get a damn good discount there.

Do you have the new fuel pump bracket? Just checking, that should come with the new fuel tank and fuel pump that you are getting for $100 (that is a sweet deal).
