Fuel Lines
Hey everyone,
I recently bought a 1990 sr5 pickup with the 22re, which is why I have now landed on this forum (it seems to be by far the best yota forum on the net). Anyhow, I recently had to replace the starter on the truck, which if that wasn't a pain enough, while doing this, just my hand brushing up on the fuel line was enough for it to create a pinhole in the rusted line. So after finding a few posts on here, I tracked down a part number which I thought was right 77251-35660 but after receiving it, I realized that it perhaps is the wrong part. It looks like it would fit perfectly except its only half of the size that I need. So I started looking for the section coming from the gas tank, and doing even more looking I found that this line may be just for a 6cyl. Is there a difference in size between the 3.0 and 2.4 lines? I have been searching and searching for the correct part number to replace the line and am about ready to bang my head against the wall. If anybody could please point me in the right direction I would really appreciate it!
Thanks in advanced,
Joe

Yes, that part is for a 3VZE (and not all 3VZE's at that). http://www.toyotapartszone.com/oem/t...251-35660.html
I'm curious: how did you manage to order a Toyota-only part without telling the woman behind the counter what vehicle you were buying it for?
In the future, always use your full VIN when ordering a part. The only exception: there is no exception. In your case, you might want a 77205-35170, 77205-35190, or a 77205-35220 (obviously, bed-length makes a difference on the part. And there are lots of pre-made fuel lines; I may not be picking out the one you really want). The VIN will match you up to a part that will fit your vehicle. Looking at the dealer's drawing will help assure you're ordering the right part of many.
Good luck!
