Fuel issue on start up

Hey folks so I've got a problem with my 91 4runner (3.0L V6 4wd)

90% of the time it starts and runs smooth, but occasionally it has trouble on the startup like its not getting fuel to the engine. This will persist for up to a day and then it starts fine again. Sometimes I am able to get it started by turning the ignition and flooring the gas. I brought it into a mechanic but they were unable to diagnose it because of course it decided to start fine once I got it there. They kept it for a few days and still no starting issues.

It is a brand new battery, alternator has good output, new cap and rotor on distributor, and new spark plugs. Thought it might be the open circuit relay but its looking like thats doing its job.

So I am back at square one trying to figure out, I would appreciate any help you all could offer!

You could have dirty injectors. Try adding some Cheveron w/techron or B12 to the fuel.
