fuel inj. onto carb motor

I was wondering how hard is it to swap a stock fuel inj unit over to a carb. motor? also if anyone could tell me a good place to find repair mauals for a first gen 4-runner? btw, I have an 88 runner (inj), 88 truck (carb), and am looking at getting an 86 runner. both of the runners have bad engines and the truck runs great, I am wanting to build one or two good motors out of all 3 of them. If anyone has some insight on this it would be greatly appreciated. thanks

well sounds like you have everything you need.. get to swaping..

should'nt be to hard.. strip the 22r of it's intake and brakets, pullies and all.. exhaust should be the same?? use everything off the 22re, intake, wireing, computer, emissions, pullies, brakets, fuel tank, and so on.. list is long but do it in steps and it'll turn out fine. lable things so you dont forget.

the heads are the same other then the cam for the 22r has a lobe to run the manual fuel pump which wont matter much.. just use the block off plate from the efi head.

i've been looking into this for a while. just have not found myself a cheap full efi doner yet.
