Installed new rebuilt 22RE and getting Engine Code 27

Hey All,

Engine Code 27 after install of rebuilt long block. Engine seems to be running lean.

Original truck was California truck with large catalytic converter. I installed new exhaust with rebuild using a Pennslyvania standard and smaller catalytic converter.

Could this be blowing the code 27 or something else?

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks, Ron:

I would imagine an exhaust that flows more air is going to create a lean condition in the motor. Clear the code and if it comes back maybe this will help you: http://www.downeyoff-road.com/Engine...Injection.html
