I never knew about the OME I'll check those out. I have a smitty front bumper but definitely don't need thicker ones I just thought that was my only option. I'm gonna push out the remains of the bar from the carrier and check it out but pretty sure splines are good and I can reuse that. I have the FSM but it doesn't show how to properly install both torsion bars. What's the best way to go about that? And can I just use marine grease in the carriers/anchors?

Ordered the OME ones for $225 shipped but not in stock so there's a two week wait most likely.

I'll chime in, sence Teuf just sold me his torsion bars and I just got done with the swap. The driver side is a pain with the exhaust being right next to the bar, so I found disconnecting the 3 bolts connecting the upper control arm to the frame (with the suspension UNLOADED[tire off, truck on jacks]) and giving yourself a little extra lateral wiggle room helps alot. More than likely, the bars have some rust slightly siezing them in the carriers, so some light taps with a ball-peen might help. Just wiggle and pull, wiggle and pull. The drivers side, by myself took about an hour from the time I started to getting the last bolt tightened down. Passenger side took 15 minutes total. And yes, knock some grease on the splines prior to putting them in, and watch your "master spline" location. Might help to mark your carriers master spline with some white out and where your torsion bar master spline is too, making it easier to line up when sliding them together.

Got the bars they look nice. So by master spline do you mean the one slot on them? I have turbo and custom exhaust so I don't believe clearance will be an issue we'll see. So my plan is since the passenger side is destroyed I will remove driver side first. Then I will line up mounts on that one then use it to compare and line up other side. Is that even necessary or is there only one place that bar and carrier line up?

SO I hit a snag. I was planning on replacing the carrier hardware while I was at it. The local dealership and online stores do not sell the bolt or the swivel anymore. Anyone know where I can get these, or am I fine re-using the old stuff?

Are you talking about the adjusting bolts and the half moon shaped washers that go under the bolt heads? If so, those washers/swivels will be fine, but I'd suggest new bolts. Mine both snapped, and my rig has never lived in an area they salt the roads or a coastal area.

I was looking for torsion bars/bolts/frame washers just before I moved, here's one possibility:http://www.northwestoffroad.com/parts/torsionbars.php I can't speak about these as I haven't bought them, maybe someone else here has and can.
