Front hitch mount for winch?

Front hitch mount for winch?
ok so heres the deal i got a putnum trailer hitch that i am going to change out with the rear one i have now, so this leaves me with a second trailer mount that i was thinking of cutting down to fit the front to hold a winch that i could move to the front or back when needed and store when not wheeling.
so what i would like to know is if anyone here has done this and if so would you recommend this.?
or should i put the mount that is off on the front.
