Front end is making all kinds of racket at full lock turning left. Replaced CV's, ball joints, wheel bearings. Its usually with the truck hits a bump so I am thinking control arm bushing? But going straight it doesnt make any noise.

 

sounds like the steering stop plastic caps are worn and its now a metal to metal rub. these trucks do that. no damage being done. i've learned to live with it.

 

X2. Either live with it (no harm done) or put some grease on them, which will help for a few months.

 

Nice. I found some aftermarket steering stops on ebay and people say they are great. I'll try some grease first to verify.

 

Replace the steering stops. Grease alone will not do much, and the stops cost next-to-nothing.

 

I just let mine make noise. It reminds me of two things. 1: Im driving a Toyota one year younger than me; 2: the sounds my own body make when i get out of bed.

Embrace it. It's a Toyota thing.
