Front Diff Breather Extension

I searched to see if someone already discovered this, but could not find anything.

At a pick/pull, I looked under a '97 LR Discovery and pulled a neat breather extension off the rear which will work for the cramped front diff breather on the 1st gen's. Same British Tapered Pipe Threads. I carried it over to a 4runner in the yard and threaded it to make sure.

It looks like a groove turned into a bleeder bolt, with a nipple and plastic tube. Looked factory to me. Seems like a good solution for anyone who hasn't dropped their diff or has trouble working near the oil pan.

That's pretty cool. Now let's see if we can find a part number.

OK, but now we find out if installing LR parts on a 'yota will start to cause electrical failures…

Better stock up on your Lucas harness smoke now.
