Front brake question

I changed my front brake pads today. The passenger side was in good shape but the drivers side was badly worn. and was missing the anti rattle spring. Do you think this is the reason that the drivers side was worn worse. Also where can I get a replacement spring?

Rattle springs (there are two per side, IIRC) were likely not the reason for the wear.
Driver's being worn more could be due to sticking calipers, worn wheel bearings, rotor worn too thin, air in the line....

Might check the bone yards, Napa or the dealer for the springs.
