Same problem runs rich(i think) for 1-4 minutes then dies. While my buddy and I were scratchin our heads after the truck started he touched a cluster of wires underneith the iac valve that looks to be coming from the vafm and it quickly died, maybe just a fluke? Need help i'm lost. Recent work done on vehicle:
Cleaned tb, and iac valve and new tb gasket, new thermostat, new engine coolant sensor, new ignition coil. What now??

 

check all your wiring!

 

k I'll try. what wire did you bump out of curiousity?

 

If the vafm is disconnected the vehicle will die immediately.

 

i bumped a wire near the ignition key that powers the ECU.

 

well, i should have mentioned I know jacksh&* about engine electrical, not only that dont have diagnostic tools to perform tests on anything. I'll buy what I can when I go parts store tomorrow but really don't know were to begin? any help?
Also forgot to mention when this started the other day I heard a clicking noise coming from the tps area, i think its the tps spazzing out not sure, this happened after the engine died like someone shut off the ignition. First time this happened I was driving hiway at 55mph, scary.
Also today I pulled a plug and there black as black gets, also there was some fluid in the throttle body when I pulled off the air intake.
one other thing it will only start if I push the pedal to the floor, and even then it idles for
about a minute then dies.
yea i'm lost.
