Free O2 sensor replacment

Both of my rigs, my previous 95 and my current 92, have a line in the owners manual that says the dealership will replace the o2 sensor at no cost to the owner.

How common is this? When I had the one in my 95 replace the dealership said they hadn't seen that before, but toyota paid for it.

Mabye if some of you work at a dealership you could let us know. I have 160K on my 92 and am doing the full exhaust next month and want a new o2 sensor, and heck might as well get it for free. Just want to know if there is a mileage limit on it? I dont think I have seen a reccommended replacment interval, but my owners manual isnt with me so I can look.

When they did the one on my 95 it was at 125K, but there was no record of toyota doing it prior to that.

lol - going to the dealership! LOL

I remember when they quoted me 600+ bucks to change my cat, then later they wanted 450 for a new alt + install!

(90 bux for the HiFlow Carsound Cat, and 145 for a pepboys alt, and about 2 hrs of grunt work and I saved over 900 bux!)

I called Toyota Coporate about this as well several months ago as it is the same in my owner's manual. They said they would replace if under 100,000 miles for free.

I guess it depends on the dealership, I had mine done at 125K.

definitely worth a shot to ask dealership about it. If you are a loyal customer they may hook you up.

No such luck here, even after talking to Corporate
