Found a 1st Gen, what is stock WHP?

Finally found one. I've been looking for a long time...and have learned quite a bit about them from this forum The truck is bone stock right now except for a set of sweet wheels and an exhaust that was thrown on since the original was mia.

For the tech part, has any dyno'd their stock or modified 22RE 1st gen ? I might throw mine on my buddies dyno for a pull or 2 to see where im at trq/whp wise...and just want data to compare.

some pics...it needs a lot of work

Nice, Looks very clean!
So what's with the missing grill and rear bumper?
What's she got? 3.0? 22RET? 22RE? 5-speed I hope?
(you were kidding about the wheels, right?)

Thanks. Didn't come with a rear bumper, had a trailer hitch instead...now gone. The hood latch cable is busted...its much easier to pop the hood without the grill on lol. Ya, i was joking about the wheels...havent bought a new set yet...hopefully right after xmas.

It has a reman 22RE with a 5spd. It was the motor that was in my buddy geoff's '87 truck/prerunner from back when we were in school. Runs great but it's not turbo yet

Congrats. Looks to be in pretty good shape except for the obvious missing parts. Wheels may look better painted black w/o the centercaps. At least till you get the funds together to buy new ones.

those wheels aren't so bad. just as long as you don't put them black ones on you'll be fine.

Aha! Another member of the "I hate the black wheels fad" club? We seem to be a minority...

Thats a nice straight looking truck. Is that the brake or e-brake cable thats getting kinda close to exhaust pipe. Yea those wheels don't look so hot. Very nice looking truck though.

If you mean that thing in the last pic, that's a solid steel rod which connects to the rear brake load proportioning valve. But if the exhaust was a leetle bit more carefull designed it wouldn't be quite so near there... Might just be the angle of the pic but it looks like it would hit if the suspension moves.
