Fog lights mounted into stock bumper?

hey guys, for my next purchase i may get some fog lights for my truck.
I was thinking of mounting them into the two rectangular spot on the stock front bumper with rectangular fog lights. Has anyone ever done this? And what type of lights would you guys recommend?

seems it would be alot less work imo, then to have them wired into your running lights

Dont know bout that particular year but dont your running light stay on with your headlight. If so you definately dont want that going on. An illuminated toggle in the dash is the way to go.

Yes, use a lighted switch. And if you buy the hella's, don't use the wiring harness they provide. Mine caught fire! Rewire them with 12 guage.

Heh, I saw those at my local auto parts store, they are cool. But personally I think they are a little too big for a toyota interior

Yeah, they caught fire! I plugged everything in, nothing. I replaced the fuse, it was already popped (weird). Turned it on, went outside and saw smoke pouring from behind the light. Ripped it off the battery right as it started a flame. Lucky!

yea, not to sure yet if i would get one of thoese switches, im trying to think of some good places to mount it... hm

noob question, but how hard is it to wire up the fog lights? all you need to do is get a 12v line from the battery then wire it up from there?

Jay hate to do this but I have to disagree. Those flip cover switches are insanely awesome GO FOR IT. Seriously even if you have to get all artistic with the placement. While your at it go ahead and add a Dukes of Hazrd horn and hook it right up to that bad boy to. so when you first turn em on you here the general lee song.

I could only wish my biggest concern at this point was the switch for my off road lights. LOL As I currently have the motor out and body off of one truck and am going to take the body of of another truck tommorrow and swap them.
