My last '91 truck had only 1 o2 sensor, and it was a Cali truck

Ya i have a 95 and it has 2, i wanted to take my cat of or gut it or something i just dont want my CEL to come on. I have a flow master and its just too quiet for my liking and i figured that if i took the cat off it would help a lil bit

Yes, it would probibly throw a code. The second o2 sensor is there to make sure the cat is working properly.

well my 91 is a cali truck and has two O2's. the second O2 is basically just a 'double check' and the ECU does not use it for any adjustments, but can through a code if it goes bad.

@yoder519-
2" from muffler out should have a negligible impact on how quiet the noise is and hardly any influence on performance. 2" is already more than stock so you've picked up some flow there already. also, by the time the exhaust gasses get out of the muffler, they've cooled off enough to not require a larger diameter pipe. if you want some more noise, install a megaphone tip.
gutting the oem cat may give you a tad more power, likely only a few hp though. but they can also be recycled for a pretty penny and you might get enough for it to get new high-flow cat installed.

Actually, it isn't.

You can bitch and moan about how useless it is all you want...

But every truck those guys build is unique. They've never built the same suspension twice. They know their s**t. I'd wager that they could build a pretty damned capable crawler if someone asked them to.

But we don't go to Krazy Kustomz for our trail rigs.

We go to Shocker. Who would probably blow anyone away with what he builds.

We may disagree on swaybars, the effect of wide tires on idler arms etc, but I DO agree with you here, what a steaming pile.

The first time I went to flowmaster I did, LC header, to 2.25'', to a 40 series, and I set off car alarms.
Now its LC header, 2.25'' to a resonator and then a delta 40. Still darned loud.

Where could you get a test pipe to put in place of the cat? Just a piece of tubing and weld it in there?

noise

You guys are too funny (Its not loud enough for me! (in a whiney voice))

I have never heard a V6 or 4 cylinder that was loud that sounded good. The tone is too high.. I guess that comes from hearing Mopar heavies, ehh?? I like my 4 cylinders to be dead quite... except for that turbo whine!

I was wondering something along those lines myself, but was interpreting what was written somewhat more literal...
"the driver" of "the truck's penis" was 2.76 inches long... meaning the driver was 2.76 inches long: not that the truck's penis, nor the driver's penis was 2.76 inches long.
