When i picked up my 91 xcab it had a rhinolined floor and behind the front seats there are 2 hole where i was told there are rubber plugs for them. Where can i get some? Cause i doubt my pick n pull has them. Or has anyone made something to cover the hole?

 

you don't need them. they just add weight which will slow you down.

just kidding. dealer's probably going to be your best bet.

 

In Florida, they take 'em out so it drains...

but, seriously folks, those are just the kind of thangs for fillin' ur pockets at pick-n-pull!

 

Dealer can pull up a schematic and get those for ya. Old ones will be hard and cracked.

 

Haha no doubt...I had some missing on mine too. Just go to a junkyard with a flathead screwdriver and pop 'em out...they'll be cheap or free there. I got mine and a bunch of other little parts for $2

Yeah I needed a radiator hose real bad and was broke so I did the same thing. Got some odd looks walking out the door and one phone number.

LOL you got a guys number. And last time i checked we didnt have any of the trucks in either one of the junk yards here or i would have tried.

 

mesure it and go to a home depot or menards or somthing like that and look at drain plugs like sink stopers or bathtub type drain plugs the rubber ones with the little ring on the top, you should be able to find one to fit, and if you ever get in a deep watter crossing there easy to pull to drain the watter out.

 

Funny,(new rig)I noticed mine were missing only after I starting feeling woosy and realized my exhaust was turned down right under the back seat an it was pouring up into the cab. Mine is rhino lined too, so they are duct taped up for now. lol.

No usuable plugs at my local pick'n'pull's so Im going to take a gamble and order one of these.

Oh wait, nevermind. Shipping is $12. Ha. Well, I guess i'll cruise down to the dealership and see if they can't help me out.

Let us know what your dealer quotes you. They know about online ordering, and they know about shipping costs, so I would be surprised if they would sell it to you for less than $20. IF they have it in stock (unlikely) you can at least make a visual comparison. Also, if you're in a hurry, a few bucks is worth it.

It all depends if you have a safety inspection and how strict they are.

Gorilla tape works wonders

 

I'm sure Gorilla Tape or whatever would work...but I just finished welding in a bunch of patches for rust holes in the floor pans and have new carpet getting shipped now. Kinda wanted to just get the part and do it the way Toyota meant to have it done. But out of principle I dont want to spend $20 on a 1.5" in piece of round rubber either.

My local Toyota dealership was able to get me the drain plug, same day, for $4.18.
