Fj80 solid axle

So I'm planning on sasing my 86 and have found plenty of info from the axles out of the 85 model vehicle's and info on the Fj60's but not a whole lot on the Fj80. I found a guy selling one in my area with the coil spring mounts already cut off ready for leaf springs, I know the 80 has a higher pinion gear and was wondering if it would be good for a sas build on my 86 pickup?

Sounds like a very good build. Certainly wide enough. Has the stronger, larger birfs. Take lots of pics and post them in the SAS forum

is there anything different I would have to do vs if I just used a axle out of a 84 pickup? I've heard something about having to use a high steer system with the fj80 axle
