Well I'm almost ready for the first start. I have to do the initial cam break in. My question is is it ok to do this without a muffler. I put on an lce header, pipe and cat. The muffler shop wants it running to do the rest of the exhaust. Or should i find another shop, put it on a trailer, have them do the exhaust then do my first start. Any opinions would be appreciated. I'll be ready after I figure out my vaccuum lines. I'll also post pic's of the build when i figure out how to get them from my phone to the forum. Thanks

 

Should be fine to crank, will give a chance to test for leaks too.

 

no reason to worry about running it without a muffler, it's not like these motors are THAT loud. even with an open header... XD
but seriously, they're not that loud at all.
