First gen seat belts for the back seat...

I've been looking at getting a first gen for a while now. For some reason it just hit me that the ones I've been looking at don't have shoulder belts in the back seats.

Do they make retro-fit shoulder strap belts for the back seats on the 1st gen 4runners?

I've got 2 kids that need to be in the back and ideally would want shoulder belts.

Just get some front seat belts from a 4runner or pickup. The floor, B-pillar and roll-up thingy bolts work in the rear. There is a threaded hole for the floor mount on the side wall, just behind where the fuel line hump is.

The B pillar bolt fits right in the hole on the roll bar.

You have to flatten the bar made onto the roll up mech. and the bolt that holds it in the front goes right in the roll bar.

Runnerx- If you have the SR5 package, that hole is already taken up with factory lap belts. Truck had lep belts too, but they were port addons, not factory.

The shoulder belts were a super super rare option you could get from the dealership. They clipped into the belts. It was strange.

But you could take out the lap belts that are currently there, and just install 3 point belts as 4runnerx3 suggested.
