Hey guys, I'm certain this question has been asked and i have searched but i cant find the answer. As evidenced by my low post count, I'm a long time lurker and usually able to find what I'm looking for without asking but I'm stumped on this one. Its probably an easy find, I'm just not searching for the right terms.

Anyway, do the doors on 84-88 pickups fit an 87 4runner? The inside of my drivers door is butchered by the previous owner and i cant get the window mechanism to work right because of it. I was going to go to a pull-a-part yard and find a used door but wanted to know what all would fit my truck before i go. It seems like it would be a direct fit, but looks can be deceiving.

i was just at the pull-a-part (east location) in lithonia this past weekend. they have an 87 and 89 4runner, and although they don't show up in their data base, i found two pickups. i don't remember if the runners had decent doors, but i know that the pickups did. one had a blue interior and one had a brown, and they're all in the same area, like rows 109-112, so look around to find them.

you may even have your choice of vent wing or non-vent wing window.

the silver 4runner had a really nice set of grey front seats too, if you need them.

Awesome! Thats the one i was planning on going to. I see an 87 and 89 listed on their inventory now.

I see the one in the south has a ton of trucks so i may go check them out as well if i dont find what i need in the east. I hope my truck is out of the shop by next weekend or im gonna look real silly with a 4runner door sticking out of the roof of my vette on 285.
