First drive with the Supra MAF

Didn't say you had to get it there. It's simply an alternative for those who can't find an 82 Supra sitting in a junk yard (they're pretty rare). You can still do the mod without a donor car...you just have to come off a bit more coin to do it.

I don' think so. The intake is larger in diameter (which is the whole point of the mod).

I've got it mounted with all thread to keep it up off the deck and so it doesn't bounce around.

On my 3.0L the original numbers are 22250-65010 & 197100-2960.
The 1990 V6 Camry 24Valve unit is supposed to plug & play on ours. It is 22250-07010 & 197100-3690
This is all very interesting.

I'll have to find it and reply back. I have it out in the shed in a pile of parts that I've taken off of this thing since I bought it. I wonder if this is how parts houses start.....

Thanks! Believe it or not I got all the stuff I needed from NAPA. I actually wanted black so that the engine compartment wouldn't look like a ricer's but after that pic I'm kinda glad I got the red ones. They match the red top battery and the battery cable. The connectors had to be heated with a hair dryer so that they would stretch over the intake on the MAF and the black flexible hose and then heated to shrink around the plenum but it's an air tight and water tight seal. Should work out well with the snorkle.

From what I read it doesn't do a whole lot MPG wise but better perceived throttle response was common for the 3.O

BTW, did you get my other post about the junkyard?

*laugh* I've bought everything I need except for the custom stuff from NAPA. The guys at the counter know me on sight. The black flex line came from them also, it's intake hose for remote placement of a filter.
I must have missed that other post, sorry.
