First 4runner - couple problems.

Hey guys, So I got a great deal on a 1990 SR5 4runner today, low mileage, and the mechanic said everything checked out, but there are a few problems. First, every time I start the car, the rear wiper starts going for a few seconds, then randomly stops somewhere in the window. I've messed around with the controls with no luck. The rear power window does work, however it seems sticky and forced when I try to lower or raise it, as if something is restraining it, and I dont think it could be the wiper. Also I can't seem to open the trunk at all, I try with the key and it doesnt seem to want to turn, and I try from the inside with no luck. The inside has a little lock thing like you would see on the inside of a door, and a handle, but the lock is stuck in the down position, and i cannot unlock it. I am not sure if these problems are related or not, but if you guys have any help it would be greatly appreciated. I am not a car wiz, and I am a college student with limited tools and time, but am pretty handy and once I get some free time I would like to tackle these problems, or if its a cheap fix I could just take it to a pro. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks alot.

Start with trying to get the wiper stoped at the top. Can't roll down the back glass or unlock the gate with it down, far as I know. Might have to by-pass the relay/computer todo so, but try disconecting the wiper switch first and testing it to make sure it's functional.

Sorry not a lot of details just ned a manual and to get after it and you'll figure it out. Someone else will be along maybe with some more specific instructions.

Just a note that the rear glass needs to be all the way down in order for the tailgate unlock latch to function.
