I went to the junkyard today to try and find a spare tire. This is actually a pretty big junkyard and I've found stuff I needed before for different vehicles. In the whole place I saw maybe 2 toyota pickups and one runner. In contrast they have dozens of rangers, s10s, etc. I guess that's to be expected.

Anyway, a guy there said he thought any foreign 6-lug 5.5'' spaced 4x4 wheel would work. So I took a nice one off a rodeo, but it was just barely too big to fit over the hub (I tested it on the front). I guess I'm just wondering if anyone has any suggestions for finding a spare rim/tire. Such as wheels from other vehicles that are known to fit.

 

Chevy and Nissan have the same bolt pattern, but since the Toyota rim is hubcentric, you have to watch out that the center hole is going to be big enough to fit.

 

Yeah the center hole on the Rodeo was only 4''. It seems that it needs to be about 4.25'' Do you know if any of the Chevy or Nissan rims are that big?

Yeah, they will fit, I can't narrow down exactly which years, Mostly bc its chevy and Nissan and I don't pay too much attention, LOL!

keep an eye on c/l for used wheels. You can prob find some steelies for cheap.
chevy lug pattern is the same but on some the hub hole is a tad small
