Yeah...I used assembly lube. lol. Maybe I didn't put enough on. I poured oil on top of the piston and worked it up and down and it made some difference...maybe this is what new engine feels like?? LOL. Hopefully I'll have the whole engine together tomorrow including the head
Thanks!
Thanks!

Primed it...
Painted it red...
Put in crank...
Put in the pistons/rings/connecting rods. I didn't check the end gaps of the rings and I put the oil rings in a line. Wasn't a problem unless you like burning oil.
Ready to go in.
She lives...
And my 3" of Toyota flex

well, thank you for some sort of conclusion, lol, i was baffled when that lil' tale ended so abruptly, i thought maybe it was edited for space considerations or i missclicked something somewhere.
i was mostly reading to decide what to do with an especially anemic 94 3.0....i did the only thing a guy should do.
i traded it in (i didn't have the cold heart to unload it on a private citizen) for a 97 4 banger, what a difference, it feels like the 4 cyl has almost twice the power and i went from just over 100 miles per 16 gal tank 0' gas to well over 300 mpt. i am a happy guy.

Anyway, congrats on the purchase. I too got rid of all my Toyota's. And I am much happier with my new vehicles!
