Factory Alarm????

Ok so I'm redoing some previous owner "wiring" in my 86 runner. When doing this I also decided heck might as well remove the what I thought was a "fake" or only partially there aftermarket alarm. So I trace/disconnect the alarm wiring all the way to under my seat, take my seat out, pull up the carpet and I'm greeted by a toyota alarm system.

So at this point I think I would like to keep it hooked up but I need to know what these units consisted of, where I can source the alarm horn, how they work, and what they do when they go off ie flash lights, siren etc.

I had no idea an alarm was a dealer/factory option but apparently it is. The wiring was extremely well done and all the connectors look factory.
