I have an 86 p/u and had to replace the exhaust manifold gasket, does anyone know what the torque specs are on the studs? or nuts?

I know for the '91 22re, the torque specs as stated in the FSM are 33ft-lbs. So that should give you an idea.

Near the top of the "86-95 Trucks & 4Runners" sub category is a thread that has links to the service manuals. Do some clicking and you will find the answer.

Its 33ft-lbs.
MAKE SURE THAT ALL THE STUDS ARE SECURE IN THE HEAD BEFORE YOU TIGHTEN ANY OF THE NUTS!!! I just did mine and didn't even think about that and stipped the threads in my head because the nut was siezed on the stud so I threaded it in like a bolt. DON'T DO THAT!
