Exhaust hangers, where does other end go?

Alright, might be a stupid question but with the exhaust hangers that have a hook on one side with like a piece of rubber in the middle and then a bunch of holes to hang it by, after it's hooked on the exhaust clamp, where am I supposed to hang the other end?

This is the kind of hanger I'm talking about.

You kinda figure out where the hanger is going to attach first.

Well at least I do. i attach the hanger then put the clamp on and tighten up

Most of the time I never use a clamp that is clamping a pipe for a hanger because most times they are not where I want the hanger.

The holes allow you to have it as long as you need it.

Most often there is a bolt or a hole all ready there you can use if not drill one . Making sure you can access both sides.

Hope that helps

Yes using OEM is all well and good.

Most times in my work I don`t have the time to wait or the attachment points on the vehicle are rusted away or broke off.

In the great salt belt that is real common.

Clamps and universal hangers are cheap and can be found most everywhere.

Besides that was not the question!!
