Exhaust Bracket / Clamp, what years?

Hi gang,

I am missing the bracket that bolts to the tranny bellhouse that the exhaust gets clamped to. '88 4x4 truck 22re.

Besides another '88 4x4, where might this doohicky be found? Other year trucks? 4Runners? 2x4 trucks?

I'm gonna hit the local Pull-a-part, but it would be helpful to have a list of possible donor rigs.

Thank'ee kindly

-Josh

My '94 22re, 5 speed 4x4 has one, though I'm unsure if it's the exact same part (bolt hole locations the same?) If your truck uses a w56 tranny then it would stand to reason that the bolt pattern is the same, thus making any up until '94ish ok to use.

Or you could make your own, which would be pretty easy.

Good point - probably any rig that uses a 22re and W56.

Thought about making it, and I will do that if my trip to Pull-a-part does not produce one!

Thanks!

Just about all the Trucks I have seen that bracket gets lost after the first time the transmission comes out.

As far as I can tell the 6 vehicles I have here now It is not on one of them.

Now me I don`t have time to crawl around looking for something like that if I felt I needed it I would buy new or make something.

I wish you well in the search

yeah I don't have that either on mine as well, no problems but I do have a downey header not a factory down pipe.

I've read that not having that bracket can be a contributing factor in exhaust manifold leaks. My 22re has blown out the rear part of the manifold gasket - PO said he just replaced it. I figure the manifold is probably warped, but it won't hurt to put that bracket back on. Maybe its a waste of time

I have a bunch of other stuff I'm looking for at the pull-a-part, so wish me luck!
