exhaust 3.0

i got a 88 4runner i want to put new exhaust on. at first i wanted to go big with a dual 3 in but then i did some research and found out that 3.0 need back pressure and 2.5 is as big as you can go without lossing power. is there dyno charts prooving this. or does anyone have any suggestions on what i should get. i want a flowmaster 40 anyone have one on a toyota?

2.25" is plenty for the 3vz

best thing to do is get rid of your stock crossover, and have a new one fabricated to run under the tranny and tie back into the driverside.

i have 2.25" exhaust from the manifolds back to a 14" flowmaster. it's too quiet for me lol

the guy that i had do the crossover...kept tellin me he couldn't use 2.25 for the crossover..so he used some small 2" i believe..kinda made me mad...i mean that basically defeated part of the purpose i removed the stock crossover for (restrictive).

i'm gonna have my exhaust shop in my college town do it the right way after the new years, but for now it works fine.
