I was browsing Craigslist and found an ad for a 1990 4runner SR5 5-speed. The guy said it had the 3.0 v6, but in the pictures I was surprised to find THIS:I called him to ask about it, and he claimed he was a mechanic, but also said it is the 3.0... Does anyone haveany information as to what motor that is? I'm stumped.

 

That's not a picture of a 4Runner. The wiper cowl is totally different.

I donno what that is. I have never seen a engine sit so low...I'm assuming that is the valve cover under the intake tube. Count the plug wires to the back of what looks like an AC pump and off to the left. it's a I4 I believe.
