Engines comming out for replacement. what else should I take care of ?

Question Engines comming out for replacement. what else should I take care of ?

are there things I should take care of or are much easier done with the engine out????

Fuel filter and clutch come to mind...

clean out the intake and replace all the vacuum hoses, coolant and heater hoses.

this would be the 1986 turbo 4Runner automatic tranny.

Change the front seal on the tranny.

Clean out the entire engine bay real good with some degreaser and a power washer

Changing the rear main seal is always a must. Also, check to see how tight your timing chain is.
