engine vibration?

Ok... I just replaced the engine for the runner and after a 16 hour drive to texas I noticed a vibration in the engine at 2500-3000 rpms. The vibration is there in ANY gear. A mechanic told me its probably my motor mounts saying that the rubber might be worn and transferring vibration. This is my only means of transportation to my new job so I need it to not blow up or anything. Any thoughts?

when i said brand new... I meant brand new EVERYTHING thats part of the motor. (block, head, covers, belts, pulleys, etc.)

My question to you guys is: do you think if I left the motor mounts alone for awhile they arent going to do any damage? I mean none of the bolts are broken or missing.
