engine problems always happen at a bad time

Well driving home for the last week i startd to notice some slugishness and horrible idle other symptoms of the fuel air mixtures. The truck would hardly start when cold and would flood easily. I filled up on gas and i was liek dam.....11.1 mpg with tire claculations added in. Anyway i dropped here off at the same shop i have always taken my trucks too and they are lookign at it. They think it is either a faulty sensor causing it to run rich other a fuel injector is bad?

Anyway i have an 87 4 runner rebuilt 22re with 3000 miles on it. The worst part is i almost have enough cash for my list sas items, gears and tires. Why do things liek this have to happen at such bad times?

Anyway anyone liek this have something similar happen to themselves?
